Daffodils

March the 1st – the first day of Spring, and the daffodils are blooming in my garden. We’ve got a few works that are blooming too, with several scheduled for launch later on this month.

The new Business Link website for the South West region is looking good, and we’re creating the ultimate tourist attraction site for a new insectarium in Liverpool called The BugWorld Experience which opens in June which is going to be quite exciting. Both contracts were hotly contested by some major agencies, particularly BugWorld, and after showing them our Slightly Different way of thinking we got the job demonstrating again that it’s all about choosing the right agency, not necessarily the one next door.

Something else we’ve been up to is simply speaking to our clients about their businesses, discussing what’s working, and what isn’t, not just with their online business, but also with their business in general, analysing their competition, talking with them about how the economic climate is affecting them, and creating new marketing strategies to cope with the kind of marketplace that we are now in and the opportunities that it presents. We live in interesting times, as the man said, and sometimes a bit of lateral thinking is all that is needed, which can be difficult when you’re inside your business looking out.

It is only the farmer who faithfully plants seeds in the Spring, who reaps a harvest in the Autumn.

So said B C Forbes, the founder of Forbes Magazine, and on the first day of Spring, it might just be worth doing some gardening of your own. Dust off your marketing plan, examine what really works for you, look at your profitable areas of business, and once you’ve done that, give us a ring on 01326 372416. It might make all the difference.
